PDL initiated its River Bank Protection & Embankment Construction activities in 2020 and has since developed notable experience in delivering river protection, embankment, sea dike, and cross-dam projects across Bangladesh.

The company has successfully completed projects on major rivers including the Brahmaputra, Kushiyara, Madhumati, and Meghna, while several important works are currently ongoing in Bhola, Chandpur, Lakshmipur, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Hobiganj. These projects involve the use of Geo Bags, Geo Sheets, Geo Tubes, CC Blocks, earthwork, sand filling, and other construction materials to ensure effective erosion control and long-term embankment stability.

Working with the Bangladesh Water Development Board, PDL continues to strengthen its technical capacity and execution capability in river management infrastructure. With current capacity of around 10 km per year and a future target of 100 km per year, PDL is well positioned to contribute to Bangladesh’s flood protection, riverbank stabilization, and sustainable infrastructure development.
